He's been the state attorney general for years. He's always been someone Democrats were hoping would run for governor and everyone kept waiting and waiting every time that seat opened up, and he didn't run (Susan Haigh, AP Political Reporter) but he was sort of biding his time waiting to become a US senator and this is one of his dream jobs.\u003cbr/\u003e(Richard Blumenthal, US Senate Candidate) (Richard Blumenthal, Democrat) \"We're going to be working very hard on canvassing, phone banks, all of the very positive work we need to do and will do very well between now and election day.\" \u003cbr/\u003e(Darien, Connecticut)\u003cbr/\u003eNATS: Hi! We knew her as the CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment which is based in Connecticut in Stamford, a very successful company. She believes they need to have a person in Washington who understands what it means to make a payroll she tells a story quite often about how she and her husband Vince McMahon had to file for bankruptcy they lost everything she says, and then they are now extremely wealthy people living in Greenwich, one of the wealthiest communities in the country.\"\u003cbr/\u003e(Linda McMahon, US Senate Candidate)\u003cbr/\u003e(Linda McMahon, Republican)\u003cbr/\u003e\"I've been an underdog since I started this race, September of 2009. I was underdog going into the Republican convention and I won. I was an underdog going into the Republican primary and I won. And I'm an underdog, not quite as much by our own polls as much as Quinnipiac and Rasmussen show but I'm a slight underdog there, but you know what, underdogs come from behind and win and that's what I'm going to do next Tuesday.\"\u003cbr/\u003e(Doug Schwartz, Quinnipiac University Poll) \"The poll is good news for Richard Blumenthal, he's got a comfortable lead over Linda McMahon. He leads McMahon by 12 points, 54 to 42 percent, which is essentially unchanged from our poll two weeks ago when he led by 11 points. Linda McMahon paid lobbyists over a million dollars to protect hers.\"\u003cbr/\u003eHe has tried to paint her record at the WWE as a CEO who doesn't really care about her employees. Her company in 09 did lay off about 10 percent of their workforce but they are now sort of on this rehiring binge and expanding.\u003cbr/\u003eAbout a month ago there seemed to be this shift in momentum in this race, and Blumenthal has been much more on the aggressive, and she's been much more on the defensive and we've seen things really turn around.\"\u003cbr/\u003eNATS: \"Things will be much better Tuesday night.
