After a relatively quiet morning Bosnian government troops and Bosnian Serb troops exchanged artillery and machine gun fire in several areas of the city.\u003cbr/\u003eFollowing Tuesday's bombardment, believed to be the heaviest since February 1994, when NATO jets threatened to bomb Serb lines, the U-N urged both sides to show restraint.\u003cbr/\u003eThe U-N Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali's statement that he will recommend a reduction and redeployment of peacekeeping troops in Bosnia has attracted criticism from both politicians and ordinary civilians.\u003cbr/\u003eHaris Silajdzic, Bosnia's Prime Minister believes any withdrawal or reduction would only  help his Bosnian Serb enemies.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE:  If there is a withdrawal of the UN forces from Bosnia then there must be a belief that the job is done. If not, and the job is not done., of course - then the withdrawal of the UN troops would help the aggression and it will help the aggressor finalise the job here and legalise its states.\u003cbr/\u003eSUPERCAPTION: Haris Silajdzic, Bosnian Prime Minister\u003cbr/\u003eThere are growing doubts over the future of the U-N mission in Bosnia. \u003cbr/\u003eFrance, the largest contributor of peacekeeping troops, has said it will withdraw its forces if there is no cease-fire. \u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: The peacekeepers are in more and more danger of being targeted. France has lost the most peace keepers - more than 30 French soldiers have been killed performing peacekeeping duties in this country. So there is certain fatigue among troop contributing nations with this mission.
