Thursday that it was their religious duty to overthrow him for his alliance with the US against Islamic militants.\u003cbr/\u003eBin Laden's audiotape, in which he speaks in Arabic with English subtitles, was also released in versions dubbed in Urdu and Pashto, two languages widely used in Pakistan and Afghanistan, to ensure followers there got the message.\u003cbr/\u003eIn the tape, titled \"Come to Jihad,\" bin Laden branded Musharraf as an infidel because of his military's siege of the Red Mosque, a militant stronghold in Islamabad that troops overran in July. \u003cbr/\u003eThe battle killed more than 100 people, including one of the militants' leaders, Abdul Rashid Ghazi.\u003cbr/\u003eThe siege \"demonstrated Musharraf's insistence on continuing his loyalty, submissiveness and aid to America against the Muslims,\" bin Laden said. \u003cbr/\u003e\"It is obligatory on the Muslims in Pakistan to carry out jihad and fighting to remove Pervez, his government, his army and those who help him,\" he said in the recording. \u003cbr/\u003eThe message comes at a delicate time for Musharraf, who has come under four assassination attempts since 2002.\u003cbr/\u003eHis popularity has plummeted in recent months as he prepares to seek a new term in a 6 October vote by lawmakers.\u003cbr/\u003eUnder popular pressure, his aides announced Musharraf would quit as army chief and restore civilian rule if re-elected.\u003cbr/\u003eThe mosque siege was followed by a wave of violence and suicide attacks blamed on Taliban and al-Qaida militants, which has intensified discontent with his alliance with the United States.\u003cbr/\u003eThe message was the third from bin Laden this month in a flurry of videos and audiotapes marking the 6th anniversary of the September
