a full fingerprint, if you will,  resulted in a reading of C-S (tear gas)\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Dr. Bernard Rostker, Pentagon Special Assistant for Gulf War  Illness\u003cbr/\u003eThe Pentagon has largely dismissed hundreds of reports that U-S troops were exposed  to chemical warfare.\u003cbr/\u003eBut they do acknowledge that in at least one case soldiers blew up a bunker which  might have held poison gas.\u003cbr/\u003eEzequiel Del Prado served in the U-S Navy for nearly a decade, and spent his last  months in the service as a part of Desert Shield military operation in the Persian Gulf.\u003cbr/\u003eHe is convinced that he was exposed to more than chemical weapons.\u003cbr/\u003eHe thinks biological agents were put in the air by the Iraqis - even before the war started  - and this exposure has made him horribly ill.\u003cbr/\u003eToday, 40-year-old Del Prado is not the young, fit aircraft mechanic he was seven years  ago.\u003cbr/\u003eSuffering from a variety of debilitating ailments which prevent him from working, he is  now taken care of by his wife, Alma.\u003cbr/\u003eShortly after his return to the U-S, he began to develop the first of many symptoms of  what he is sure is Gulf War illness -- diarrhoea, memory loss, fatigue, and pain in his  joints.\u003cbr/\u003eHis skin is covered with a painful inflamed rash and doctors have removed dozens of  small, fatty tumours from his body.\u003cbr/\u003eDel Prado says he used to be very fit, and he is convinced that only exposure to  biological warfare could have caused these afflictions.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"I was a very active person. I was on the Navy's marathon team, cycling team,  swimming team, and an air crew member. I was a tough person.
