Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes\u003cbr/\u003eTom Cruise's lawyers have hit back after an unauthorised biography and an internet video called attention to the actor's belief in Scientology.\u003cbr/\u003eAndrew Morton, author of \" Tom Cruise: An Unauthorised Biography,\"  which was published on Tuesday ( 15th January 2008) by St. Martin's Press, alleges that the 45-year-old actor ranks second in command in the Church of Scientology. \u003cbr/\u003eBut in a statement, Cruise's lawyer Bertram Fields said: \" Mr. Morton's book is absolutely loaded with false statements.  They are mostly tired old lies about Tom and his religion that everyone's heard before, but there are some bizarre new lies designed to attract attention, like the claim that some Scientologists believe Tom's daughter was fathered by L. Ron Hubbard's frozen sperm.  Mr. Morton should be ashamed of himself for telling such vicious lies about a child to hype sales of his book.  The book is very clearly actionable; but I am not commenting on what we intend to do about it... They realised that Mr. Morton can't prove that the things he's written are true.
