some of the early gains were lost however as investors decided to sell for quick profits after buying on hopes of an upturn.\u003cbr/\u003eThe benchmark Nikkei 225 stock index rose 49.94 points, or the world's 20 top rich and developing countries announced in London on Thursday a raft of measures, that exceeded expectations, to deal with the economic crisis.\u003cbr/\u003eBritish Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the G-20 summit had agreed to give 1 trillion (t) US dollars to restore credit, growth and jobs in the world economy and boost the coffers of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.\u003cbr/\u003eBrown, who hosted the emergency summit, said the 20 countries at the summit will enact common policies to crack down on tax havens, regulate hedge funds, and rebuild trust in
