being loaded into a cargo plane in New Delhi on Friday. \u003cbr/\u003eIndia has been regularly delivering emergency aid to Myanmar over the past week, including medicines and ready-to-eat food material.\u003cbr/\u003eTwo Indian Navy ships carrying immediate relief and medical supplies, and five Indian aircrafts carrying tents, medicine, roofing material and other relief items have already reached Myanmar. \u003cbr/\u003eAlso on Friday, another Indian Air Force plane was preparing to take off for China, carrying aid and relief material for the earthquake survivors there.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Indian Government is offering an assistance of five (m) million US dollars to China for relief aid for the victims of the earthquake. \u003cbr/\u003eA statement from the Indian foreign ministry said that this amount would be utilised for relief material including blankets, tents, sleeping bags, medicines.\u003cbr/\u003eZhang Yan, Chinese Ambassador to India praised the quake's final death toll could reach 50,000 people.\u003cbr/\u003eMeanwhile, in Myanmar the UN and the Red Cross say 1.6 (m) million to 2.5 (m) million people are in urgent need of food, water and shelter.\u003cbr/\u003eThe UN said on Friday that severe restrictions by Myanmar's military junta have left aid agencies largely in the dark about the extent of survivors' suffering, two weeks after the deadly storm.\u003cbr/\u003eThe official death toll from Myanmar's devastating May 2-3 cyclone jumped to nearly 78-thousand, state television reported on Friday, marking an increase of about 35-thousand from just a day earlier.\u003cbr/\u003eThe report also updated the number of injured to nearly 20-thousand.\u003cbr/\u003eThe new cyclone death toll of 77,738 is substantially higher than that suffered by all but one country from the December 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. \u003cbr/\u003eIndonesia suffered more than 130-thousand dead and 37-thousand missing from that disaster.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Red Cross said on Wednesday that said it believed the total cyclone death toll may be as high as 127,990. \u003cbr/\u003eThe United Nations has said more than 100-thousand
