Various of protest\u003cbr/\u003eAbout one thousand investors  linked to the collapsed US investment bank Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. protested in Hong Kong on Friday against delay of compensation. \u003cbr/\u003eThey marched through the financial district, stopping at several banks that sold Lehman-related products holding signs that reading: \"Throwing money to the sea\". \u003cbr/\u003eInvestors condemned the government for not being \"active enough\" to force banks to compensate. \u003cbr/\u003eThey have also complained that bank sales staff were misleading and didn't fully explain the product or connection to Lehman Brothers. \u003cbr/\u003eOne investor demanded his money back saying the mini bonds were worthless, while another said she had lost her life savings. \u003cbr/\u003eThe protest highlights anger among the thousands of Hong Kong investors who have been left out of pocket by the Lehman collapse. \u003cbr/\u003eThe outstanding amount of the products is 20.2 (b) billion Hong Kong dollars (2.6 (b) billion US dollars), according to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the territory's de facto central bank. \u003cbr/\u003e(B) Billions of dollars in souring debt forced Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., once the fourth-largest investment bank in the US, to file for bankruptcy in September amid the world's worst financial crisis in decades.
