Wide of Lee's animation display on multiple screens\u003cbr/\u003eJuly 20th marks the 40th anniversary of the death of Bruce Lee - one of the most influential martial arts artists of all time.\u003cbr/\u003eIn remembrance of this pop culture icon, over 600 relics representing his life, work and philosophy make up a new exhibition celebrating his legacy in the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.\u003cbr/\u003eBruce Lee is a name familiar across China and with martial arts fans across the world. \u003cbr/\u003eHe is credited with changing the way Asians were presented in Hollywood films. \u003cbr/\u003eMovies such as \"Game of Death\" has been considered an all-time classic that transcend cultural boundaries.\u003cbr/\u003eLee took the Chinese martial arts to a new level with his skilful Kung Fu (Gung Fu) movies and iconic costumes. \u003cbr/\u003eThe superstar was born in San Francisco on November 27, 1940 in the year of Dragon.\u003cbr/\u003eHowever, he was raised in Hong Kong where he began his first martial arts training at the age of 13. \u003cbr/\u003eAccording to The Bruce Lee Foundation, five years later, he returned to the United States to study philosophy and psychology in the University of Washington and started to train students the art of Chinese Kung Fu.\u003cbr/\u003eThis was also when he met his future wife, Linda Lee Cadwell. They later had two children.\u003cbr/\u003eShannon Lee, the daughter of Bruce Lee, is the chairperson of the Bruce Lee Foundation.\u003cbr/\u003eShe says that hosting the exhibition in Hong Kong is particularly special.  \u003cbr/\u003e\"You know I think it's really wonderful that this exhibition is in Hong Kong. And no matter from his movies as well as his sayings that it continues to inspire people and give encouragements to people in the world.\"\u003cbr/\u003eHis fame in the American TV series \"The Green Hornet\"  brought huge success in both America and Hong Kong, where he was recognised in the street as the star of the show. \u003cbr/\u003eThis leads to his increasing appearance in many of his other films.\u003cbr/\u003eHui says the exhibition includes items which would educate visitors about unknown aspects of Lee.\u003cbr/\u003e\"You will see that in our exhibition that there are a lot of training equipment, training tools. We would like to bring in the Gung Fu theory and philosophical side of Bruce. So we got a lot of special items from the Bruce Lee Foundation that shows the Gung Fu ideals and theories of Bruce.\" \u003cbr/\u003eLee died at the early age of 32 on July 20 1973 in Hong Kong from a cerebral edema caused by an allergic reaction to pain medication.
